Gunfire hits same Wichita house twice within hours

Someone fired at the same Wichita house twice within several hours Thursday night and early Friday morning, police said.

The home is in the 2600 block of South Victoria. No one was injured.

Police Lt. James Espinoza gave this account: Officers responded to the first shooting around 7:45 p.m. Thursday. A woman reported the house being struck by gunfire while several people were at the home.

Suspects were not found. A vehicle in the area was described as a gold, older sedan with a loud muffler.

Then, shortly after midnight at the same residence, someone fired rounds that hit the home. Two people were at the home at the time.

Two males were seen leaving the area on foot; both were described as being about 5 feet 6 inches tall, with medium builds, and wearing light-colored hooded jackets.
