Police are looking for a man linked to a shooting after an argument in south Wichita late Monday night.
The shooting was reported shortly before midnight in the 2400 block of South Laura, Wichita police Lt. Jeff Gilmore said. Two men and a woman were working on the house at 2459 S. Laura for the homeowner when the woman’s ex-boyfriend showed up and began arguing with her.
Both men helping the woman decided to leave as the argument continued, Gilmore said. One man left unharmed, but the second – a 41-year-old man – heard loud noises as he was walking to his vehicle.

“He realized he had been shot twice in back of his legs,” Gilmore said.
An EMS crew treated the man on scene and then transported him to Via Christi Hospital St. Francis in critical condition, Gilmore said. He has since been upgraded to good condition.
Investigators are doing follow-up work with the shooting victim at the hospital, and police are looking for the suspect, who has been identified, Gilmore said.
