Three houses struck by bullets near McAdams Park

Police are investigating a drive-by shooting late Sunday night that riddled three different houses with bullets.

The incident was reported at about 10 p.m. in the 1500 and 1600 blocks of East Arnold, Wichita police Lt. Steve Kenney said. That’s just east of McAdams Park and I-135, north of 13th Street.

Residents reported hearing several shots being fired, though no one saw who fired them, Kenney said.

“At this point in time, we have no suspects,” he said.

Two of the houses struck by gunfire were in the 1500 block of Arnold, while one was in the 1600 block. All three houses were close to each other, Kenney said.

A total of 13 people — five adults and eight children — were in the houses, but no injuries were reported.
