Wichita massage parlor owner sentenced for trying to lure woman to perform sex

A Wichita massage parlor owner was sentenced Wednesday to time she has served – 10 months – for trying to lure a Chinese-speaking woman to perform sexual services at Q Massage in Wichita, U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom said Wednesday.

The owner, Ping Liu, 44, also will spend five years on federal supervised release, Grissom’s office said in a statement.

Liu pleaded guilty to attempted coercion and enticement to prostitution, the office said.

She admitted that during a phone conversation in Chinese, she arranged for a woman posing as a New York job applicant to fly to Wichita to work at Q Massage, 3833 W. 13th St., the office said.

Liu told the person that the job included providing sexual services to customers, it said.

Liu also admitted to twice offering to perform sexual services for undercover Wichita police who went to the massage parlor posing as customers, the statement said.
