Police: Woman attacks woman, man with golf club in Old Town home

An incident involving three people turned violent in Old Town early Sunday morning, police said.

At 3:30 a.m., a 33-year-old man was spending time with his 28-year-old ex-girlfriend at his residence in the in the 200 block of North Mead, when his current girlfriend arrived, according to Wichita police.

The 23-year-old woman attacked the two, kicking, punching and hitting the 28-year-old with a golf club, causing a wound that required stitches, police said. The man sustained scratches and bruises. The woman also did more than $1,000 damage to the man’s residence.

Police found the 23-year-old woman later and arrested her on suspicion of aggravated battery.
