Wichita police are investigating the theft of $80,000 worth of aluminum from Bishop Carroll High School.
The theft is thought to have occurred about noon Sunday at the school, 8101 West Central, and was reported Monday night by a school employee, Lt. James Espinoza said.
The aluminum had been taken out of the school as part of remodeling work and was outside on school grounds, Espinoza said. There 11 were sections of aluminum in 12-foot lengths, which had been part of a breezeway.
Security cameras may provide some video that will help in the investigation, Espinoza said.
