Shots fired at Riverside apartment

She told police he was her friend, but he sent several threatening texts to her and then fired several shots at the Riverside apartment she was in early Tuesday morning, police said.

The 24-year-old woman was not hurt in the drive-by shooting at about 12:10 a.m. in the 900 block of North Carter, Lt. James Espinoza said. There is no evidence any of the shots struck the apartment.

The 29-year-old man was found in the area with a gun in his possession, Espinoza said. He was booked into the Sedgwick County Jail.

The woman who received the threatening texts does not live at the apartment fired upon, Espinoza said. She was staying at a friend’s place.
