Police release photos of suspect in Emprise Bank robbery
Wichita police released photos Thursday of a man suspected of robbing an Emprise Bank location near Pawnee and Hydraulic on Wednesday.
A Sedgwick County emergency dispatcher said the initial call about the robbery came in at 4:51 p.m. Wednesday. Wichita police Sgt. Bob Gulliver said a man entered the bank, placed a note on the counter and left with an unspecified amount of cash. He fled on foot, Gulliver said.
The dispatcher described the man as more than 6 feet tall and wearing black sunglasses and a black and white Chicago Bulls hat. The man also had a “scruffy beard” and left the scene with a black bag, the dispatcher said.
On Thursday, police released photos of the suspect and gave more details: He was also wearing a dark brown jacket and a black hooded sweatshirt. He wore New Balance shoes and carried a gray iPhone, according to police.
No injuries were reported, and there was no indication the man used a gun in the robbery, Gulliver said.
