Man stabbed in parking lot after confrontation

A man was stabbed several times in Wichita on Saturday morning after what may have been a road rage confrontation, police said.

The victim told police he pulled into a parking lot in the 500 block of South Ridge Road at about 2:30 a.m., said Sgt. John Hoofer.

Witnesses said another man confronted him and stabbed him several times in the back and side, Hoofer said.

Witnesses thought it might have started with a road rage altercation, where the attacker followed the victim to the parking lot, Hoofer said.

The victim, whom Hoofer did not identify, was taken to Via Christi Hospital St. Francis and admitted.

No one has been arrested, Hoofer said.
