Two arrested following Fidelity Bank robberies in south Wichita
A man and woman were arrested early Tuesday afternoon following the robbery of two Fidelity Bank branches in south Wichita on Tuesday, police said.
The first robbery was reported at 11:35 a.m. at the Fidelity branch at 3525 E. Harry, according to a Sedgwick County emergency dispatcher. That’s just east of Hillside near Via Christi Hospital St. Joseph.
The suspect did not indicate he had a weapon and one was not seen, the dispatcher said.
The Fidelity branch at 3101 S. Seneca was robbed at 12:44 p.m., a 911 supervisor said. A patrol officer stopped a vehicle a short time later at Pawnee and Washington.
A man and woman in the car were taken into custody in connection with the robberies, Lt. James Espinoza said.
