Teen reports attack after assailant wanted his K-State cap
A Wichita teenager said he was attacked for his Kansas State stocking cap.
A 19-year-old man reported that an unknown man approached him as he was walking in the 4000 block of South Hydraulic at 9:05 p.m. Friday.
The man demanded his shoes and K-State cap. When the teen asked why, the man struck him in the face, knocking him to the ground, and took the hat, he told police. The man ran to a white older model four-door car that contained two women and they left. No one has been arrested. The teenager suffered no major injuries.
The assailant is described as a white man in his 20s; 5-foot, 7-inches tall; 140 pounds; short buzz haircut; wearing a brown hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
