Woman, 29, stabbed nine times is in stable condition, police say

A 29-year-old woman was stabbed six times in the back and three times in her side.

The stabbings happened at 7 p.m. Saturday on the second floor of an apartment building at 2600 N. Grove, said Wichita police Sgt. Ed Brower.

One of the stab wounds punctured a lung and the woman was transported in stable condition to a local hospital, Brower said.

Four unknown women were described as her assailants, he said.
