Wichita police looking for man who tried to sexually assault woman in restroom
Wichita police are asking for the public’s help in finding a suspect who hid in a women’s bathroom before allegedly trying to sexually assault a woman.
The incident happened about 1 p.m. on Oct. 28 in a store at the Wichita Mall, 4165 E. Harry. A man was hiding in the stall of the store’s bathroom when he brandished a small knife and attempted to sexually assault a woman, Lt. James Espinoza said.
He was described as being white, 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-8, 150 to 170 pounds, 30 to 40 years old and had facial hair. He was wearing an orange safety vest, brown boots, gray T-shirt and blue jeans, Espinoza said.
A video image of the suspect was also captured from a store camera, he said.
