Police: Man arrested after argument with girlfriend

A man was arrested Saturday morning after attacking his girlfriend and stealing $150 from her, police said.

The incident happened at 5:40 a.m. Saturday at a motel at 827 S. Broadway, police Sgt. Brian Sigman said. A 32-year-old woman said she got into an argument with her 44-year-old boyfriend there, and he bit and punched her numerous times, causing visible injuries, Sigman said. The man then took $150 in cash and left, the sergeant said. Police found him at 11th and North Broadway and arrested him on suspicion of robbery and domestic violence. The woman’s injuries were minor, Segman said.
