Man critically injured in street fight

A fight in the street left one man critically injured and another in jail late Wednesday night, police said.

The incident was reported shortly before 11:30 p.m. in the 2000 block of North Minneapolis, a Sedgwick County dispatch supervisor said. That’s just southeast of 21st and I-135.

A group of men and women got into a fight in the street at that location, the supervisor said. A man in his 30s was clubbed and severely injured. He was taken to Wesley Medical Center in critical condition.

Police took two men downtown for questioning, the supervisor said. At least one was arrested.
