QuikTrip security officer punched, knocked unconscious

A security officer at a QuikTrip at 1610 E. Lincoln was struck in the face and knocked unconscious at 12:15 a.m. on Saturday.

The victim received a large cut on his head after the suspect got out of a red Chevrolet Malibu and struck him, but the victim couldn’t remember whether he was hit again after he hit the ground, police said.

Police are examining security footage, looking to get a more complete description of the suspect.
