Armed men rob food truck at 21st and Broadway

Two teens wearing bandannas over their faces and brandishing weapons robbed a food truck near 21st and Broadway Monday night, police said.

The suspects approached the Taco Michoacan truck parked in the 2000 block of North Broadway at about 10 p.m., went inside and pointed handguns at the owners, Lt. James Espinoza said. They demanded and received cash and then left the truck.

The suspects, who both appear to be teenagers, then ran down an alley where they met up with two others and got into a gold Saturn, Espinoza said.

“This was kind of brazen, opening the door and going inside the truck,” Espinoza said.
