Man hospitalized with head injury following home robbery

A 20-year-old man was hospitalized early Tuesday morning after two strangers broke into his house on North Fountain and assaulted him during a robbery, police said.

The incident was reported shortly before 2:30 a.m. in the 1400 block of North Fountain, Lt. James Espinoza said. That’s near 13th and Oliver.

The suspects came into the house and demanded drugs, cash and an Xbox system, Espinoza said. One of the suspects struck the victim in the head with a gun, sending him to a local hospital in serious condition.
