Suspect sought after one killed in north Wichita shooting Sunday morning

Detectives with the Wichita Police Department are asking for tips after a man was shot and killed in north Wichita early Sunday morning.

The victim, a 41-year-old man, had been shot multiple times and was found on the ground in a parking lot in the 2000 block of East 21st St. around 12:45 a.m. on Sunday, a press release from the police department said. He was taken to a hospital, but later died.

The release said that detectives are actively following leads, but anyone with information should call 911 or contact investigators at 316-268-4407. Tips can also be left anonymously online or via Crimes Stoppers at 316-267-2111
