Second teen arrested in Labor Day killing in north Wichita

A second teenage boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder in a killing on Labor Day, Wichita police said Friday.

Police are not looking for any other suspects.

A 17-year-old was arrested Friday morning in the Sept. 1 killing of 20-year-old Sebastian Williams, police spokesperson Rick Pena said. Police previously arrested a 16-year-old boy on suspicion of murder in the shooting, which left another 20-year-old critically injured.

The 17-year-old was arrested at a home he is associated with in the 1900 block of North Payne, police said.

At 4:33 p.m. on Sept. 1, police responded to a shooting in the 2100 block of North Arkansas and found the two victims inside a vehicle with gunshot wounds. The vehicle was found in the 600 block of W. 20th Street North, near the original call of the shooting.

The fatal shooting was one of three police responded to on Sept. 1. Three people were killed and four were wounded in the shootings that day. Police said they were not connected.
