Kansas officers are investigating the theft of 30 cattle from two owners.

The Cowley County Sheriff’s Office sent out information Thursday about the thefts in the northwest part of the county, asking for tips to help solve the case. Eighteen cattle were reported stolen on Sept. 12 and then 12 more on Tuesday, a sheriff’s office spokesperson said.

Some of the 18 were branded on the left hip with a heart and bar underneath it; some of the cattle also had a black or red ear tag. The 12 cattle weren’t branded but some had a red ear tag, the spokesperson said.

Anyone with information about the theft can call the sheriff’s office at 620-221-5444 or submit a tip through the county’s Cime Stoppers line at 620-221-7777.
