Police identify man shot, killed in east Wichita; no one in custody

Police identified Sunday’s victim of a deadly east Wichita shooting as 32-year-old Kelly Black of Wichita.

Officers responded at 5:51 p.m. to the 7000 block of E. Lincoln. They found Black lying on the ground with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital where he died, Wichita police said.

Police are investigating the shooting and do not have anyone in custody, WPD spokesperson Aaron Moses said Monday.

“We are still conducting follow-up to to determine how many people are involved and their identity,” Moses added.
