Kansas gaming enforcement agent arrested in child sex crimes, official says
A 42-year-old Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission enforcement agent was arrested on Friday on multiple counts of sexual exploitation of a child after law enforcement got a cyber tip, the Kansas Bureau of Investigation said on Friday.
The Ashland man was arrested just before 7 a.m. in Dodge City. He was booked into Ford County Jail, in lieu of a $75,000 bond, on suspicion of seven counts of sexual exploitation of a child, KBI spokesperson Natalie Turner said in a news release.
The suspect was placed on administrative leave pending the investigation, Turner said.
The KBI started investigating after getting a cyber tip through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Anyone with information on the case is asked to call the KBI at 1-800-KS-CRIME. Anonymous tips can be submitted online at kbi.ks.gov/sar.
The KRGC’s “primary mission is to ensure that gambling at facilities with state owned casino games and pari-mutuel racetrack gambling is conducted with integrity,” according to the regulatory agency’s website.
The Eagle does not identify suspects before they are charged.
