Woman stabbed multiple times in Wichita, another woman arrested
A 47-year-old Wichita woman was stabbed multiple times Wednesday morning, Wichita police spokesperson Brad Wright said.
She was taken to a Wichita hospital with non-life-threatening wounds. A 28-year-old woman was arrested in the stabbing, Wright said.
“Investigators are still working to determine the circumstances that led up to the incident,” Wright said. “At this time, it is believed that the suspect and victim are not known to each other.
Police were called at 7:23 a.m. to 12th and Broadway about a stabbing. The woman was found stabbed in the alley behind Auto Motel, according to Sedgwick County Emergency Communications scanner traffic.
She’s got “bad wounds to the face, possibly the chest and hand area,” a first responder said on scanner traffic, adding the woman was conscious.
It is unknown where the suspect is from, Wright said around 10:30 a.m.
