Wichita man wanted in Feb. 11 killing arrested in Fort Worth
A 20-year-old Wichita man sought in connection with a Feb. 11 killing that police said was a targeted incident with three men dressed in black has been arrested in Fort Worth, Texas, according to an arrest report released Thursday morning.
Jerry Lee Johnson, the third and final person police were looking for in the killing of 23-year-old Manuel Roach of Wichita, was booked into Sedgwick County Jail at 1:19 p.m. Wednesday, records show.
Police said they didn’t have any details about his arrest in Fort Worth. The address listed for his arrest in Fort Worth is the jail.
Johnson, 18-year-old Sergio Clement and 22-year-old Allen Griffin Jr. have all been charged with first-degree murder. The three are all now in Sedgwick County Jail.
Clement was arrested after showing up at a hospital with a gunshot wound. Both Clement and Griffin are from Wichita.
Police were called at 5:44 p.m. on Feb. 11 to the 1200 block of South Bleckley, which is close to Lincoln and Oliver, and found Roach unresponsive. A 911 caller reported hearing 10 to 20 shots. A witness reported the suspects speeding off in an SUV.
Police made a social media post on Feb. 19 saying they were looking for Johnson in connection with the killing.
