Girl, 14, reports being abducted, sexually assaulted in north Wichita, police say

Wichita police are seeking help to solve a crime in which a 14-year-old girl reported being abducted and sexually assaulted, police spokesperson Kris Gupilan said Tuesday afternoon.
Police say the incident happened around 10 p.m. Monday near 19th and Grove streets. The girl was taken to a Wichita hospital with minor injuries.
“At this time, we are following up in the area where the incident occurred, contacting witnesses, and checking for video,” Gupilan said in a news release.
Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to call 911, detectives at 316-268-4407, the See Something Say Something hotline at 316-519-2282 or Crime Stoppers at 316-267-2111. Callers can remain anonymous with Crime Stoppers.
