Police: Victim of drive-by shooting near Kellogg and Edgemoor not cooperating
A lack of cooperation is hindering the investigation into a drive-by shooting Wednesday afternoon, police said.
A 25-year-old man was hit once in the ankle when a vehicle drove past him at about 4 p.m. in the 700 block of South Sylvan, near Kellogg and Edgemoor, and one or more people fired shots, Lt. James Espinoza said. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
“The victim has been extremely uncooperative,” Espinoza said.
Investigators think the shooting was gang-related.
“We do believe he knows who the suspect is,” Espinoza said. “He just doesn’t want to tell us.”
