Police are asking for tips to help find those involved in an east Wichita incident where a 32-year-old man was shot in the leg and the neck.

Police were called around 7:30 p.m. on Monday to the 6500 block of East Morris, which is near Lincoln and Woodlawn, and found the wounded man. EMS took him to a hospital where he underwent surgery, police spokesperson Andrew Ford said.

“Initial reports suggest that three to four male suspects may have been involved in this incident and fled in an unknown vehicle,” he said.

Police are asking anyone with information about the shooting to call detectives at 316-268-4407, the See Something Say Something hotline at 316-519-2282 or Crime Stoppers at 316-267-2111. Callers can remain anonymous with Crime Stoppers.
