A former Wichita, Kansas, police officer has been found guilty of child sex crimes, with one of the three charges happening while he worked for the department, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said Tuesday.

The incidents happened on July 1, 2018, Sept. 14, 2010 and Sept. 14, 2012, respectively.

He faces at least 25 years in the sexual abuse of a child charge. Sentences for the other charges vary depending on the age of the child.

England worked for the Wichita Police Department from June 19, 2014, to July 22, 2019, and then went to the Enid, Oklahoma, police department before returning to WPD again from Dec. 30, 2019 to July 25, 2023, according to WPD and court records.
