Sedgwick County Courthouse police employee arrested on suspicion of criminal threat
A Sedgwick County Courthouse police employee was arrested and is “in custody” on suspicion of criminal threat, Sedgwick County spokesperson Nicole Gibbs said.
The person was just hired on Sept. 23.
“The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the case and their findings will be presented to the District Attorney for potential charges,” Gibbs said in a news release Friday afternoon. “The employee is on administrative leave pending the determination of the District Attorney and the completion of an internal investigation.”
Sedgwick County refused to provide details about the alleged threat.
