Woman’s body found inside vacant building south of downtown Wichita
A woman’s body was found inside a vacant building south of downtown Wichita on Wednesday.
The woman’s identity was not released.
Someone flagged officers down at 10:43 p.m. to report an unresponsive person in the area of 800 S. Water, Wichita police spokesperson Kristopher Gupilan said Thursday.
Police found the woman and performed life-saving measures. She was pronounced deceased at the scene.
An autopsy will be performed and the case is being investigated as a suspicious death, according to Gupilan.
It is unclear if the woman had any visible injuries. Police did not provide additional details.
