Man on electric bike killed Sunday in hit-and-run crash in northwest Wichita

A 43-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run crash Sunday in northwest Wichita.

The man’s identity was not released as police are working to notify his family.

Officers were dispatched to the area of 2400 N. Hoover Street on a collision call. Police arrived and found the victim unresponsive. He died at the scene, Wichita police spokesperson Andrew Ford said Sunday.

Detectives learned that the man was heading north on Hoover when he was struck by an unknown vehicle that continued driving north, Ford said.

The investigation into what led up to the crash is ongoing and no arrests have been made, according to Ford.
