Police identified the man who died Monday in a shooting at an east Wichita apartment complex as 25-year-old Sebastian Crawford of Wichita.

Two people were arrested in the shooting. A 22-year-old man faces a charge of second-degree reckless murder and 50-year-old man faces a charge of criminal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Both men are from Wichita, according police spokesperson Andrew Ford.

Police responded to the shooting call at 11:08 a.m. at the Village Park Rockborough Apartments in the 200 block of North Rock Road near Douglas and Rock.

Officers found Crawford suffering from a gunshot wound. He died at the scene, Wichita police spokesperson Aaron Moses said.

Police say Crawford and one of the suspects knew each other and were involved in an argument before the shooting.

It is unclear if Crawford lived at the apartment complex. Multiple other people, including two juveniles, were found inside a unit, and a woman was taken to a hospital for a “condition” unrelated to the shooting, according to Moses.

“We are not actively seeking any additional parties and believe we have identified all relevant parties involved in the incident,” Moses said.

Police had an apartment unit in the back of the complex taped off. A small charcoal grill with its lid on the floor was behind the tape.
