Man and woman dead after gunshots in Derby murder-suicide, police say
A 51-year-old woman and 47-year-old man were found dead in a murder-suicide inside a Derby home early Monday, Derby police said Tuesday.
Police would not say more beyond a two-paragraph news release.
Police were called about gunshots around 1:30 a.m. Monday at 1500 McClelland. Arriving officers heard another gunshot inside the home. The two people were found dead inside.
“All evidence indicates this was a murder-suicide,” police said in the news release. “The deceased were released to the Sedgwick County Coroner’s office for autopsies.”
A man and woman with the same last name and the ages police gave own and live at the home, records show.
