Police release name of man found fatally shot in east Wichita apartment hallway
Police have identified the 41-year-old Wichita man found shot and unresponsive in the hallway of an apartment complex on Tuesday in east Wichita.
Michael Shelton died at the scene.
Shelton was found shot and lying in the hallway when police responded for a call for EMS around 10:40 a.m. Tuesday in the 8400 block of East Harry. An exterior door leads to the hallway where he was found, police said.
Police have not released any other details on the case.
This is the city’s 22nd homicide of the year, including 10 since June 10, according to a database kept by The Eagle based on reports from police. There were 24 homicides at this time last year.
