Men rob Firebirds Wood Fired Grill near 13th and Webb

Two men wearing black scarves over their faces robbed the Firebirds Wood Fired Grill in east Wichita late Sunday night, police said.

The two men came into the restaurant at 10096 E. 13th St. through a rear door at about 11 p.m., Lt. James Espinoza said. One of them was armed with a handgun and ordered the five employees inside to get down on the floor.

They then took money and left the same way they came, Espinoza said. No injuries were reported in connection with the robbery at the restaurant in the Waterfront retail development east of Webb Road.
