Police seek help finding suspect after man hit by car, dragged more than a block

Police are asking for the community’s help finding a person wanted in connection to an attempted murder in June near Harry and Oliver.

The victim remains hospitalized.

Police are looking for Aubriana Wilburn, 20, of Wichita. Wilburn is wanted on suspicion of attempted murder, aggravated battery and an outstanding warrant, officer Charley Davidson said in a news release. Police were called about the incident at around 12:55 p.m. on June 22.

Wilburn was driving a Ford Focus and backing out of a parking spot at a business at Harry and Oliver. A 33-year-old man was walking through the parking lot and almost hit by Wilburn, Davidson said.

“A disturbance then ensued between the victim, Wilburn, and a passenger inside of the Focus,” Davidson said. “During the disturbance, Wilburn intentionally drove the Focus toward the victim, striking him, and dragging him approximately 1 ½ blocks, before fleeing from the scene.”

Anyone with information about the case can call detectives at 316-268-4407 or Crime Stoppers at 316-267-2111.
