A man wanted in connection with the killing of two people at a hotel near downtown Wichita was arrested Thursday, police said.
Kyle Del’Shawn Young, 33, was arrested on suspicion of capital murder with more than one victim, aggravated burglary and criminal possession of a firearm by a felon, police said in a statement. He was also arrested on suspicion of two counts of aggravated assault, criminal possession of a firearm and probation violation, the statement said..
Young was on probation when the killings occurred Jan. 2.
At about 12:20 a.m. that Thursday, officers were called to the Hotel at Waterwalk, 711 S. Main. They found George Kirksey, 27, and Alicia Roman, 22, both of Wichita, shot in their hotel room. They were pronounced dead at the scene.
