Update: 68-year-old man who was subject of local Silver Alert is safe
Update 2:05 p.m.: Wichita police say Roy Hughes has been located and is safe.

The 68-year-old went missing at around 7 p.m. Thursday, according to a news release from the police department. He was last seen in the 1500 block of North Hydraulic wearing a dark brown jacket, a brown hat and possibly khaki-colored pants. Hughes is 4-foot-11, 170 pounds and bald. He has brown eyes and suffers from Alzheimer’s disease.
Wichita police issued a Silver Alert for him shortly after 11 a.m. Friday.
