Woman strangled over several days at her south Wichita home, police say
A 27-year-old Wichita man was arrested Friday in connection to strangling a woman “to the point of unconsciousness multiple times over several days at her home” in south Wichita, the Wichita Police Department said.
Nathan Rowe was arrested on suspicion of two counts of domestic battery, aggravated domestic battery strangulation and aggravated domestic battery. Rowe’s arrest included arresting charges from two domestic violence investigations in March and involving the same victim as his arrest Friday, Officer Charley Davidson said in a news release.
Officers were called to an area hospital at around 6:55 p.m. on Thursday for an assault report. The 25-year-old woman had “extensive injuries to her face and neck” but was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, Davidson said.
The woman had been taken to the hospital by a family member.
