Man in hazmat suit, N-95 mask, gloves and sunglasses tries to rob Wichita business
The description of a man who tried to rob a check-cashing business Monday in west Wichita sounds like a character from the TV show Breaking Bad.
No one was injured in the attempted robbery at Order Express in the 1500 block of South Seneca, near Harry. The robber was described as a white man in his mid-30s about 6-foot and roughly 160 pounds. He was wearing a yellow hazmat jumpsuit, N-95 facemask, blue medical gloves and sunglasses, officer Charley Davidson said in a news release.
The man entered the business at around 11:10 a.m. Monday, wrote on a note that he had a gun and demanded cash, Davidson said.
A 22-year-old woman working at the business then went to a back office to call 911. The robber walked away empty-handed.
