Armed robber orders women into bathtub in Riverside
An armed man burst into a house in Riverside, stole money from two women there and then forced them to get into a bathtub before he left, police said.
The robbery occurred at about 7:30 p.m. in the 900 block of North Perry, Lt. James Espinoza said. A 60-year-old woman told police she had invited a friend over and left the front door unlocked for her.
After the 56-year-old friend arrived, they did not lock the door. The intruder burst in a short time later, brandished a handgun and demanded money, Espinoza said.
After getting some money, he ordered them into the bathroom, where he told them to get in the tub and close the shower curtain. He then left.
The two women were not injured, Espinoza said.
