Police investigating fatal shooting of teenager in south Wichita

Police are investigating the shooting death of a 19-year-old man who was killed Tuesday night in south Wichita.

Officers responded at around 5:25 p.m. to a shooting in the 3100 block of South Davidson, near 31st and Oliver. Devin Dwigans was found in a grassy area near homes and pronounced dead at the scene, officer Charley Davidson said.

Police said the initial investigation shows there was an argument before the shooting, and they don’t believe the shooting was random. The killing is Wichita’s 15th homicide this year.
