Man found dead in truck in south Wichita with multiple gunshot wounds, police say

Wichita police are investigating a homicide of a 38-year-old man who was found dead inside a truck Saturday morning in south Wichita with multiple gunshot wounds.

A resident called police at about 7:30 a.m. on Saturday about a man bleeding inside of a vehicle in the 2700 block of South Roosevelt, near Hillside and Pawnee, officer Charley Davidson said in a news release.

Police found the man inside a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado with multiple gunshot wounds, the release said. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police identified the man on Monday as Edward Wren of Wichita.
