‘Lack of cooperation’ hampering Wichita police investigation into shooting on Broadway

Detectives investigating a weekend shooting in Wichita are being hampered by what police called a “lack of cooperation” from the people involved.

Emergency crews were dispatched at around 9:20 p.m. Saturday to a business in the 1200 block of North Broadway, Wichita police spokesman Officer Charley Davidson said in a news release. Officers found a 35-year-old man with a gunshot wound, who was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

“Investigators are currently working to determine the circumstances of what occurred,” Davidson said. “A lack of cooperation has affected investigators from learning all the details of this case.”

Police ask anyone with information on the case to call Crime Stoppers at 316-267-2111.
