Body found in McPherson mobile home identified; officers investigating as homicide

Officers are treating the death of 63-year-old McPherson man whose body was found inside his mobile home Monday as a homicide, the Kansas Bureau of Investigation said Tuesday.

On Tuesday, the Bureau identified the deceased as Kelly G. Peterson, whom McPherson police found at around 12:05 p.m. on Monday after a man reported finding Peterson’s body inside a mobile home at 124 S. Kelly. Peterson was pronounced dead at the scene.

“No threat exists to the public related to this incident,” the Bureau said in a news release. “No further information will be released at this time.”
