Pedestrian hospitalized after hitting side of car near Seneca and Douglas
A 56-year-old man remains hospitalized after he hit the side of a car Thursday night while crossing Seneca near Douglas, the Wichita Police Department said.
“Alcohol involving the pedestrian is believed to be a factor in this case,” Officer Charley Davidson said.
Davidson said first responders were called at around 8:30 p.m. and found the man in the street with critical injuries. The man was crossing Seneca from west to east, Davidson said, when he “ran into the front corner of a blue Ford Taurus being driven by an 81-year-old” man, who was headed south on Seneca. The collision happened just north of the intersection.
