Two shot in drug deal gone wrong at Wichita apartment, police say
A man was shot in the face and a woman shot in the upper body at a south Wichita apartment Thursday morning over what the Wichita Police Department think was a drug deal gone wrong.
Officer Charley Davidson said the man and woman were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police are still looking for the shooter.
Davidson said officers were called at around 5 a.m. to the Shore Apartments in the 2700 block of South Topeka. Davidson said the man and woman talked with the suspect through social media and the three met in a vehicle at the apartment complex.
An argument started and shots were fired, Davidson said.
Davidson didn’t know how many shots were fired or how many times the victims had been shot.
