Police: Argument over alcohol, crack cocaine leads to assault, arrest
A 48-year-old man was arrested Sunday night after he pulled a knife and threatened a buddy because he didn’t bring back what he was supposed to, Lt. James Espinoza said. The incident occurred at about 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the 1300 block of North Madison.
The suspect gave the 43-year-old victim $40 and told him to bring back alcohol and some crack cocaine, Espinoza said. But the victim returned with only a pint of vodka.
Angered, the suspect “pulled a knife and tried to cut” the victim, Espinoza said. He was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault.
The victim was not injured.
