Wichita police have arrested two suspects in an armed robbery following a chase in west Wichita.

Police were called to an armed robbery at a Sprint store, 530 S. West St., at 10:19 a.m. Thursday. Two employees were reportedly zip-tied and put in a back room and the robbers left in a silver SUV, Officer Kevin Wheeler said.

When police arrived, they saw a vehicle that matched that description and tried to stop it. The SUV wouldn’t stop and led officers on a chase to Kellogg and Meridian, where it crashed into a white box truck.

Two people ran from the SUV after the crash, but were quickly arrested, Wheeler said. Cash and property were taken from the cellphone store; no injuries were reported.
